I became a fan of Veejay Floresca after watching him in Project Runway. I adore every design he made, and I definitely am charmed by his humility and simplicity. His star shone brighter after the said competition, and he continued to produce awe-inspiring designs and creations. Today, he is one of the most sought after designers of his generation, and he is just beginning. I am sure that one day, he will be one of the most revered fashion designer in the industry and he will be hailed as one of the institution's pillars.
It was my pride and honor to be able to meet him in person and ask him several questions. For this entry I will share to you a video of our meeting. When you talk to Veejay, it would be impossible for you not to be inspired. He came a long way from his humble beginnings all through his own determination and sheer talent. For many, luck catapulted them to success. In Veejay's case, he willed himself to be propelled to where he is now. He is not someone who wait for Lady Luck to whip her magic. Instead, he is someone who will join every competition in order to be noticed, he is someone who will grab every opportunity even if it means working while studying and he is someone who will not only dream but will do everything in his power to realize that dream. For that, I would never hesitate to say that he deserves all his achievements. Most amazing of all, he is someone who escaped the entrapments of the corrupt world. He remained to be someone in possession of a spiritual passion and a character oozing with kindness, humility and Love. Love not only for his career and family, but for the nation that nurtured him.
I am so thankful that once in my life I met Veejay Floresca, a sought after designer, who, despite of his busy schedule granted an unknown blogger an interview. I can't wait to witness your name become Global!
